Genesis 33:5
“Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children and asked, “Who are these with you?” Jacobanswered, “They are the children with whom God has graciously favored your servant.”

Children are our greatest blessing!
I say this in the midst of daily two year old defiancy and 5 year old emotions. A reminder when it can feel really hard being a parent to two wild bush boys. Trying not to superficially teach right from wrong but to go deeper and get to the heart issues behind everything.
Psalm 113:9
“He maketh the barren woman to keep house, And to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.”

My boys are truly my greatest blessing. And by boys I also mean Mr. Mike. Why the lord blessed me so greatly with these three I will never know. I fail them daily, I’m a sinner and yet the lord is so sovereign, loving and forgiving. He continues to bless through all my short comings.
Matthew 18:2-5
“He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
The stronger I grow in my faith and walk with Jesus I realize the true honor it is to be a mom and wife. I want to remind you of this too sweet sister and to encourage you to be aware. Society can tend to spin our views of motherhood. Making it seem more like a burden or an inconvenience. A phase we have to “get through” and then we can have fun. I want express that this is a LIE! Our culture is missing the mark on this.
For example, what and who we surround ourselves with dictates our views of motherhood. As entertaining as some “mom memes” can be are they always giving the best message?
Those friends who jokingly voice back to school as being ‘the most wonderful time of the year.’
We need to gaurd ourselves of what we see on social media regarding motherhood. Are you letting positive or negative influences shape your view of motherhood.

Mark 10:14
“But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, 'Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.”
Please don’t pray these years away, they are so fleeting and precious and our children need us to be present.
We need to be mindful of the things we say and how we say it. Tell your littles daily what a blessing they are to you. Hug and squeeze them and praise God for them, especially in the midst of the hard moments.
Matthew 21:15-16
15 But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant.
16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.
“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise’[a]?”

It’s only what God thinks that matters. Go to his word and elevate your view of how much a blessing your children truly are!
Isaiah 40:11
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
